Walking For Charity – Day 3

Foxton Lock Inn, Foxton, Leicestershire
Foxton Lock Inn, Foxton, Leicestershire

Today I enjoyed a leisurely walk around Foxton and Gumley in Leicestershire with my lovely wife, Beth. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon as we strolled along the Grand Union Canal and the fields near Gumley Wood. My wife, being a little shorter than me walks more slowly than I, but that means we take more steps per mile – great when you’re counting steps :). So on this walk, I notched up around 5.1 miles and around 10500 steps. Total steps so far today are around 16,000. Nice one! 🙂 . Early tea in the sunshine at Foxton Lock Inn.

Took a couple of pics for the album:

With regard to the challenges – totals so far:

12.6 miles out of my 150 mile target
46101 steps out of 900k step target

As you just happen to have read this far – can you spare a minute and a few pennies to support my fund?
