MONDAY JULY 13th, 2020 – PORTHLEVEN TO THE LIZARD
DETAILS
Approximately 13.5 miles. Moderate.
Day 2 of this stretch I’ll be walking from Porthleven to The Lizard. This Southern-most part of the UK is reputed to be one of the most stunning stretches of the South West Coast Path. We’ll gather at Porthleven at around 9.30am having left one car at The Lizard – the end of today’s walk.
Leaving Porthleven, I will be heading south-east towards the Gunwaloe region. After a short while we’ll cross the Loe Bar which provide a natural barrier between the sea and the largest stretch of freshwater in Cornwall – the Loe.

I’ll continue in more or less the same direction for another few miles stopping at Mullion cove for lunch.
Lunch stop on South West Coast Path Part 6 Day 2 somewhere near Mullion Cove
After lunch I’ll press on almost due South to begin with enjoying the amazing rock formations and hopefully spot some choughs on the way to Lizard Point.

You are more than welcome to join me for any part of this stretch, for the whole day, or the full nine yards Marazion to Falmouth. Please get in touch using my contact form and I will keep you updated on start times and progress.
