Mevagissey to Par: South West Coast Path – Part 7, Day 3

Charlestown, Devon on a rather overcast day
Charlestown - en-route Mevagissey to Par Sands

The third of six walking days this week I’ll be walking the South West Coast Path from Mevagissey to Par.

Approximately 10.5 miles – Challenging: Strenuous to Easy

09:30 – 10:00 Drive to Mevagissey where I left off yesterday
10:00 – 13:30 Walk to Charlestown – possibly with a coffee stop at Pentewan or Trenarren if I can find somewhere open.
13:30 – 14:30 Lunch in Charlestown
14:30 – 16:00 Press on to Par for some Cornish Ale and a Fish and Chips perhaps

Todays walk should be slightly less challenging than others and is one of the shortest on this week’s trek. However, if the weather is good and the mood takes me, I may press on towards Fowey. If I can make it to the National Trust Car Park then that would be a good place to be leaving my car tomorrow.

You can find the highlights and more information on this route on The South West Coast Path website

You are more than welcome to join me on this trip and or on any part of my next SWCP journey – subject, of course, to sensible social distancing measures. Please get in touch beforehand though and I will be sure to look out for you.

And please bookmark this page and return a few weeks later; I will be posting an update and some more photographs in good time.
