Monday May 23rd 2022 – Bigbury-on-Sea to Salcombe
Day 3, and today I’ll be walking the coast path from Bigbury to Salcombe – a distance of around 14 miles. The walk will end with another ferry at Salcombe but on this occasion we’ll probably miss the ferry ride unless we go across and back; otherwise we have another logistical problem with transport.
We’ll probably stop at Inner hope for a coffee break or light lunch before heading one. If the right opportunity presents itself near Slippery Point, we may stop for another break. After that the path gets quite remote until we reach the outskirts of Salcombe.
The ferry runs until around 6pm (or maybe 6.30) so there should be time to cross and return if I feel inclined. Otherwise we’ll rest our feet and enjoy some Devonshire hospitality in Salcombe before heading home.

09:30-12:00 – Bantham to Inner Hope
12:00-12:30 – Coffee Stop at Inner Hope
12:30-14:30 – Inner Hope to Slippery Point
14:30-16:30 – Slippery Point to Salcome
